Friday-Sunday, June 16-18, 2017
Join the Prescott Dances of Universal Peace and Sufi Circle for a
Summer Solstice Celebration at cool Upper Wolf Creek Campground
June 16th 2:00 pm through June 18 11:00 am. $20 fee or $10/day
Come one! Come all! Be crowned with an array of summer’s bounty!
A community member has offered to guide us in making flower crowns, or head leis as called in Hawaii. Just bring some flowers & extra greenery, a pair of scissors, and she will bring the wire & expertise for your creation to emerge in celebration of the fullness of the season. Beauty everywhere — and it’s yours for the asking.
From the beginning of time sacred movement, song and story have brought people together to celebrate the longest day of the year. The Prescott Peace Dances and Sufi Circle will celebrate this timeless tradition by dancing and singing sacred phrases from spiritual traditions around the world. We will also be engaging in nature walks and silent meditations using our five senses to connect to nature and the energy surrounding us. No musical or dance experience of any kind is required and everyone is welcome.
Pack your camping gear and join the fun. NO WATER IS AVAILABLE AT THIS CAMPGROUND, so bring all the water you will need. Also bring your own food and beverages for each meal. Fire restrictions may apply. No RV hookups. There are two accessible vault toilets at the site.
